Ton Teunissen the founder of Karibu-Tanzania from the Netherlands shipped a 12 meter long container with goods to Tanzania. In the container are all kind of things which aims to benefit the poor people and schools in Njombe district, e.g. sewing machines, chairs, tables, blackboards, teaching and learning materials for technical schools, furniture for schools, balls for sport activities, clothes, shoes, medical equipment and a lot of other things.
Rients Kootstra, board member of Karibu-Tanzania, came together with Ton to ensure the materials are in good condition. He repaired in the Netherlands about 300 sewing machines. Together with Ton he came to Njombe to help unloading the container. Tanwat staff moved the 12 meter container from the truck and placed it on a foundation. In future SHIPO will use the container as store.
Now SHIPO is in charge of the materials and is responsible to circulate the materials to schools and people in the villages.
SHIPO thanks Karibu-Tanzania on behalf of all the schools and villagers in Njombe district.
