Project purpose
The project has targeted in prevention of diseases caused by grubbiness and poor latrines which led to outbreak of diarrhoea and cholera.
Beneficiaries
The community of Njombe Region especially those who are living in rural areas (approximately 3.500 house holds).

Description of the project
People in the villages request a slab latrine with subsidized price through coach.. After approving the request, SHIPO technical field officer trains local masons in making slab latrines.
Money obtained from latrine goes into a revolving fund and the villagers can use that money as a loan for other Smart Tech products even after the end of TAZAMO they can be able to continue with improving their living standard.
