The project goal is to rehabilitate and construct class rooms.

Description of the project

SHIPO provides before construction of a new building or rehabilitation of a building a Good Governance training for village leaders, construction committee and school committee. The local masons and carpenters will be trained under supervision of a SHIPO mason. The storekeeper is trained in store keeping.

The villagers help SHIPO mason and this makes the project sustainable, because in the future they can maintain the building themselves.


Project progress

The first project, started in July 2010, is construction of a new classroom in Itundu village on Mlangali primary school.
