Description of the project

Water filter is a small facility that can be handled by any person. It has proved to produce clean water for 99.9% but it is not widely known. SHIPO decided that using filter many waterborne diseases will be reduced

In this case the organisation established a fact sheet known as “Safe and Clean water” with the purpose of creating awareness to community concerning the impact of drinking unsafe water. Therefore through Village Action Group (VAG) people were sensitised and after that water facility was distributed to VAG through community coaches.

In order to ensure that a community affords to have one water filter facility per household, the organisation decided to subsidise it and sell it to the community at a very low price of at least Ths.3,000/=

Apart from that SHIPO has introduced a revolving fund that will help people to be able in collecting its own money obtained from slabs revolving fund project. This will support many households, by taking a loan from their own revolving fund in the village, even if the price will change in future.
